We were delighted to be approached by St Bartholomew’s Primary Academy to assist with their school renovation. A previous customer recommendation led them to ask for our help and we were happy to provide it. A refurbishment of both classroom areas and staff break areas was required.

Our team of industry specialists were able to offer full classroom design, which included supply, delivery and finally installation for the entire project, from our range of  classroom furniture ranges we were able to offer the ideal solutions for this busy academy. Meeting room designs and comfortable break areas for staff were also required.

During our initial visit, we learned about the school’s vision and were able to work with them to choose the right products from the wide range we have available. It was important to provide classroom designs that were practical, durable, yet comfortable to give the students an engaging learning environment that could easily be adapted to meet the changing demands of the circumstances we now face.

Our expert designers and product team were able to produce a selection of designs, which covered classroom tables and new classroom chairs in a variety of styles to provide versatile and adaptable arrangement. We needed to ensure they met Covid-19 social distancing requirements, without impacting on the look and feel of the learning environment and provide future flexibility for when guidelines change.

A product and concept design document showing 3D visuals and detailed space plans for each area was created to enable St Bartholomew’s to clearly visualise the results and choose a final design for use.

The classroom designs incorporated a variety of shaped tables providing practical solutions to meet learning needs, and give the needed flexibility. Storage areas were included in keeping with the ‘funky practical’ look of the area.

Comfortable breakout areas were included to give students the opportunity to enjoy relaxed learning environments away from the traditional classroom chairs and tables.

Our designs gave both formal and informal staff areas, whilst keeping functionality, durability and value for money at the forefront of our selections.

We all know teaching staff and school caretakers are busy people and our choice of products needed to be easy to clean, maintain and to withstand daily use by both students and staff, yet uphold the look and feel of a modern busy school that cares about its environment and pupils. We were delighted to be able to provide a learning environment for them to be proud of for many years, all within their set budget and timeframe.

They understand the needs of schools well and are keen to receive feedback that enables projects to be designed that are suitable for the needs of younger and older children alike. The quality of the design work enables a really clear picture of the possibilities.
