We have worked closely with the London Southbank University for over 10 years, providing our services on many occasions to offer design concepts and our full design, supply and installation services for a variety of projects. It is always a privilege to provide designs and concepts for them, to offer inspiration for fundamental projects where we influence the way our young people learn and develop.

London Southbank University offer a state of the art facility that is home to over 25,000 students from over 130 countries based in the centre of London. The location, scale and activities of the university require the absolute best from our project managers. Every project requires a high level of client interaction and engagement with site managers and project teams, whether the job is in one of their newly constructed buildings or a refurbishment of some of the more historic buildings on campus.

On this occasion, we offered detailed design concept generations to create two different looks. Our first was to bring the outside in. Our design featured natural wood, tree canopies and tactile grass Astroturf areas. Digital imagery on the wall space created a great outdoor display designed to invigorate and refresh.

We looked to provide a vibrant creative and social space for students to enjoy the feel of being outside, whilst remaining indoors. Our second concept brought a bright, funky and modern spherical inspired design, to create a vibrant and fun space using modern clean lined furniture in classic white with splashes of colour. Our aim was to revitalise the weariest of students. And we truly believe we captured the effect perfectly. Colourful energetic wall art in bright colours combined with complementary ceiling details and inspiring artwork was able to provide a modern space that was both practical and youthful.

We were able to incorporate areas for both larger and smaller groups and give the students furniture that was both practical and durable, and be flexible in its layout, to ensure the students could rearrange safely when the need arises.

Our designs also offered a tea hut with poseur height worktops and stools along with a social area with vibrant banqueting tiered seating to ensure that the students were able to enjoy their downtime and socialise, which is essential to ensure the students are well prepared to return to study.

Our successful relationship with this university has seen us provide many designs alongside our full supply and installation services for both large and small projects critical to them over many years.

It continues to be a privilege to fulfil many educational projects for one of London’s largest and oldest university and we always look forward to the challenge of the next.
