Belfairs Academy
We were extremely pleased to assist Belfair Academy School with the classroom and meeting room designs for their newly expanded school buildings. Working alongside Barker Associates Architects on Phase 2 of the school’s expansion program, providing designs for furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) provision, to meet their need for a well-equipped modern facility.
Their requirements for FFE were for 18 classrooms, and our suggestions included one-piece chairs, stacking tables, bench style work surfaces, white boards and pin boards to provide maximum flexibility for staff to ensure that they could easily adapt the learning environment for the pupils within the space available.
Durability, ease of cleaning and clean simple lines were required whilst ensuring that the areas remained comfortable and practical for the many students who would use them each day.
Our range of stacking table and one-piece chair suggestions gave Belfair the flexibility to easily move the furniture to give floor space should this be required for any classroom activities in the future. Our storage solutions also offered safe, effective and large volume storage for many items to ensure that the classrooms remained clutter free and items could be kept cleanly and safely stored away when not in use, which also provided areas where students themselves could access them when needed, and also areas for staff to store non pupil equipment safely away.
We were also able to offer suggestions for white board and pin board placement within the design to maximise their visibility and benefit within the new layouts.
Alongside this, we supplied meeting room designs and suitable office furniture, for both formal and informal meetings. Our team of industry experts used their widely obtained knowledge to ensure that we were fully able to meet the brief within the budgets they set.

Our design plans accepted, we were tasked with the supply, delivery and installation of their FFE provision, something we were delighted to be able to offer, within both budget and timeframe.
Our specialist teams ensured that each stage was carried out as required to ensure no disruption to the daily running of the academy. Liaison with our equipment suppliers, the architects and academy themselves enabled the project to run smoothly, on time and above all meet the schools need for adaptable, hardwearing and easy to maintain classrooms and meeting areas.
Our design for the areas ensured pupils had the best opportunity to learn by providing an environment of well-organised facilities and space, with adaptability that ensured teachers and pupils had flexibility to make changes when the teaching needs required.
Our provision for the meeting rooms and office furniture gave staff inviting areas for non-class based time, again contributing for better provision for the academy pupils.
