1. Go on a Decluttering Spree

Finding the time to organise your office space is often a task that gets pushed aside, so it’s inevitable that any office is going to get a little bit chaotic as time goes by. Take a quick ten minutes whenever you can to go on a decluttering spree, removing anything you don’t need or haven’t used in a while. You’ll be surprised of the difference made by following this tip!

2) Start with your Desktop

If you take a look at any unorganized work space, it’s usually the desk that’s the most cluttered and in need of some TLC. Start with your desk, removing everything from it and giving it a good clean. Get rid of any scrap paper, dirty coffee mugs and general bits and bobs, replacing with everything you use and need.

3) Make Document Trays your New Best Friend

When your desk, office and folders are full of pieces of documents you need to deal with or have already worked with, things can start to get confusing. Invest in some document trays, not only do they keep everything tidy, but you can use one for old documents you’ve already dealt with, as well as a ‘to-do’ tray. Ultimate organisation.

4) Have a Bin Near

It seems like a simple tip, but often when the office bin is far away from your desk, clutter can build up slowly but surely. Ensure there’s a bin near, or perhaps bring in your own bin for serious ease. Just don’t forget to empty it when it’s full or you’ll create more issues for yourself.

5) Schedule a Regular Cleaning Time

Keeping on top of any office organisation is key to moving forward. Take some time out of your week, be it five minutes out of your lunch break, to schedule in some regular cleaning time. You won’t have to be caught up in a huge decluttering spree again, and will be on top of things at all times.
